As a way to "dress up" common words such as nice and bad,
I have created this interactive tool for each child to use while writing! By simply replacing those "tired" words with new "fancier" choices, our problem is solved.

The children are focusing on Word Choice as they are writing their fairy tales. They are using our Word Choice Pocket Chart Thesaurus, as well as choosing words on their own,
to "jazz up" their writing.
When I am reading to the class, I always make a habit of pointing out excellent word choices by authors, especially when an author really describes a scene or event using rich vocabulary.
This is a good way to expand the children's vocabulary, while helping them see how good writers use
Word Choice to enhance their writing.
As they are writing their fairy tales, they can use the power of word choice to magically transform
their writing into a creative, amazing work of art!
