 Exploring outdoors with your child can be a great way to spend quality time together and it is lots of fun! As a special enrichment homework assignment, I am asking each child to respond to the following questions by posting a comment on our blog page. I am encouraging the children to type their own responses, as this is a wonderful opportunity for them to gain more experience using technology, which is an important skill that they will need throughout their lives. I am also encouraging the children to add as much detail as they would like to their response. You can help your child by reminding them to tap out words slowly, check the spelling of common sight words, and edit their work for the correct use of capitals and punctuation marks. Comments and pictures will not show on the blog immediately, but will be posted within the next few days! Now let's get started super scientists . . . Take some time to explore in your yard or while on a nature walk with a parent. Then answer the following questions by posting a comment on our blog. 1. What were three of your favorite living things that you found while exploring? 2. Where did you find each organism? (in a tree, under some leaf litter, etc.) Bonus Question: Choose one of the organisms you found. Can you explain why you think it is living?  I can't wait to read your responses!
